The yellow core was panicking now, his eye flicking this way and that as he thought more and more about what had just happened to his friend.
Curi wasn't moving, the spark had drifted off of her and fallen down into the pile of cores, it's yellow-orange color drifting away.
He didn't know what happened, or how it happened.
That voice scared him so much, but Curi being hurt scared him more.
What had happened?
If it was something like a burned wire, Curi would be back up and about in no time.
Most of the spheres knew about a small work crew inside their robotic bodies, a nano bot work crew.
They could repair anything inside them, although they weren't so happy about their job.
The yellow sphere knew nothing about them, but the wire wouldn't be the problem.
The lights around them flashed on brighter than usual, the panels shifted and shuddered. Startling the three spheres, Rick flicked open his eyes quickly, looking around frantically.
"QUICK, WHAT'S THE SITUATION?" He demanded, looking around to see that the physicality was moving.
It was alive again.
Fact tried to keep calm, but it didn't show, his round eye was shaking with fear.
Rick was in the same state, looking around in confusion.
Space couldn't tell though, not with the rooms moving so much.
"Something is quite wrong." The purple sphere said in a serious, direct voice as he studied the place around them.
He had seen this place many times, but he always felt the need to check if there was something that had changed.
This time, something did.
The panels rearranged, the lights became brighter, and there was some extra presence in the labs.
Are the humans back? They all wondered, but somehow that didn't seem to be the answer.

Space drew his attention back to Curi, who was still unconscious.
"Curi? Curi? Hey, please! Curi..." He rambled, ignoring the questions of his friends.
"Hey, buddy, who's the girl?" Rick asked, trying to lean forward towards the childish core.
"Curi?" The Space Sphere asked, blinking slowly as his eyes glistened with concern.
"Where did she come from." The Fact Sphere asked simply, looking up at the "sleeping" core.
"I... I, I don't know. She came down the chute. She crashed into me, we, we, we, talked till we fell into, space, sleep. And I, I woke up and she was there and we spa- spoke to another, and then she said 'Chelllll' in this really creepy voice then a spa- spark came out of her and she fainted. And now she isn't moving and I think she's asleep, like them!"
The yellow core said frantically, shaking all over his tiny body.
He didn't know what to do, he couldn't move.
He didn't recall moving ever, not with the help of his weight, which wasn't much.
He looked around, wondering what he should do.
He pushed his eye out of his robotic body, trying to roll up the pile of spheres.
Fact shook his head, seeing that the little space core didn't understand the laws of gravity.
"You can't get up there, you'd need a management rail, or wings." He said, blinking slowly as if pleased at what he had just said.
The little core still tried, shoving his eye in and out, banging into some of the other sleeping cores.
"Then I'll grow wings!" Space said determinedly, narrowing his eyes at Curi.
Rick sighed, looking with sympathy at his little friend.
He could tell when a "man" loves a "woman" and he could see the desperation in the space obsessed sphere's eyes, all just to get back up to that little core.
"Let it go, buddy. You'll just have to wait." He said, trying to sooth his friend.
He really wasn't much with words, he was usually making sarcastic remarks and bold comments.
Those words didn't really fit his voice, but it did make Space feel something.
Hopeless.
The yellow core's upper eyelid fell, as well as his own eye, lowering down to below him.
He was going to have to wait, and for a long time too.
A day seemed far away.
For some reason when their sleep mode activated, and the Sun sank back into the earth far away, the cores were mysteriously moved, every single night.
Space had gotten used to being moved around, but waiting the entire day to get back closer to Curi seemed like an eternity.
"Curi..." He murmured, his eye still fixed on the floor blow him.
A rumble game once more, this time, with a strange click sound, and voice.

"Ah, there you are." The voice was smooth, drawing out some of the words that it had spoke. Each of the cores' eyes shrunk as they realized who it was.
The demon.
The reason why Human's mysteriously disappeared.
The reason, the cores were made.
Space didn't know who this was, but Rick and the Fact Sphere seemed to as their eyes shrank into tiny dots as the looked across the ceiling believing that the voice her came from above. The demon had a way with cores, no matter how they knew her, they still were afraid, and Space was living proof of that.
"It's nice to see old friends again, I had missed you all." She spoke, her voice tired and weary from her eternal sleep.
A claw replaced a panel, reaching into the box and taking hold of the curiosity core.
Starting to drag it into the wall.
"Space! Curi! Wait, wait, no, no, no, no, no, no!" Space screeched, his eye twitching as it looked across the room.
"You appear to carry the affection of humans, strange. Speaking of humans... I'll be right back, don't, go, anywhere." The demon said, Curi's round sooty body disappearing into the wall.

"No... No, Space... She's gone." Space couldn't think of what to do, he felt helpless at this moment.
He couldn't move, he couldn't help her, he couldn't do anything.
"Hey! Wait, why are you taking her!?" He asked loudly, looking up at the ceiling as if looking at the demon in her yellow eye.
It took a few minutes, but she finally replied. "Revenge, your friend has prevented me from doing the one thing I wanted."
The little yellow core blinked, turning his eye a bit to the side with confusion.
"What? What did sp- she do?" The Space Sphere demanded, seeing that the other spheres were still scared.
He wasn't, he had forgotten that feeling of fear.
He wanted to know why this was being done.
"Oh, you mean she never told you? Hmm, what a shame. I'll let you figure it out yourself."
GLaDOS's voice vanished,
Space was left, alone. Clueless.
He turned his yellow gaze towards his friends, not nearly as frightened as he should be, or as they were.
"I, I, I need to get her back. I need to get Space back." He said, taking Fact by surprise as a serious tone made it's way into his voice.
This was the first time the yellow core had said something that wasn't stupid, to the Fact at least.

"How?" Rick said, his eye going back to normal.
The thirst of adventure sparking in his eye, he wanted to know his little friend's plan.
"I... don't know." That was the most pitiful things he had ever said, he could only close his eyes in sadness as silence shrouded him.
Although the lights were brighter, he only saw darkness.
If you see the "sp-"s everywhere, he's restraining himself from blurting out space. And it is true the Space Sphere is pretty light, in the end,

*SPOILER*
Wheatley's drifting off into space, and the Space Sphere's doing an orbit around, while Wheatley's kinda floating.

*Spoiler End*

Either Space Sphere is really light, or Wheatley's really heavy. I mean, he's not just a plastic cup.
